Happy New Year! As you rise this morning into the promise of a new year, may you start it out with this posture:

Genesis 1:31 says, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

‍

Before the world, mankind, creation had done one single thing other than exist, God declared them very good…not because of what they had done or not, but because they were HIS.

‍

Making things new is the heartbeat of our Creator God, and He’s ready to work new things in your life this year, too. But before any of that, may you rest in Him today, knowing that regardless of what this year holds, you are His very good creation.

Take a moment to talk to God this morning about who HE has made you to be, that you might start your year deeply rooted in your identity in Him. Amen.
