Posture matters, right? In fact, as I wrote that, I immediately straightened my spine, which was quite hunched over as I peered down at my computer screen, pondering today's prayer prompt. And while our physical posture will leave lasting effects on our bodies as they age, our heart posture before God matters for our today and for our eternity. What's yours today?

Are you hunched over - looking inward for validation, looking outward only as a measuring stick for your own worth? Or are you reaching toward the heart of God today? Are you stretching out toward him, hungry for what HE says is true and good?

Romans 2 is a real gut-check, isn't it? It's an opportunity to look inward and examine both our motives and our actions when it comes to our faith. Take heart, though, my friend - the rest of Romans is coming! And there we find the best news ever: We don't have to stretch and reach toward God on our own; Jesus has brought the heart of God fully within our reach.
