We are eight months into the first year of Restoration Life. We are excited to be a part of what ACF is doing in the community and to further the gospel. We've been part of the ACF family for over nine years. We serve in different ministries, and we absolutely love our life group.

We took the challenge from Pastor Brian very seriously and prayed about our part in Restoration Life. We learned early on in our marriage about the importance of being obedient to the Lord in every area of our lives, including finances. It's not always an easy lesson to learn.

No matter what, God has always been faithful, and this was no different. I usually let my husband take the lead on such things. I had an idea of a number in my head, but nothing exact or that I felt strongly about, but when he shared the number that he felt God had given him, it was about twice as much as anything I had thought of. I thought he was crazy.

My husband is retired, and I am semi-retired. With his retirement, our financial situation changed dramatically about three months before Restoration Life started. That didn't change our desire to commit, but it did increase the faith part. We already had our budget all figured out, so this would be a challenge, but nothing that God couldn't handle.

What has been amazing to see, especially this summer, is that God has always come through, usually at the very end of the month and for just the amount we needed. This has been a constant reminder to me that God keeps His promises. He doesn't waste anything we go through. He always meets our needs. You can trust Him, too, for whatever you are walking through. God is good!
